About D.Trout Proofreading
I am an English-speaking freelance proofreader, based in Cornwall, England, and specialise in academic proofreading. I studied and trained with The Chartered Institute for Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) and have since enjoyed proofreading a wide range of topics. The students I have worked with include ESL, SEND, undergraduate, postgraduate, UK and international, and I have experience of editing all levels of work up to and including PhD theses. I am also a qualified teacher with over twenty years of classroom teaching experience. The combination of training and experience I have provide me with the reliably accurate skills needed to identify errors and support improvement in the written quality of students' work. Additionally, my wide understanding of special and individual needs in education allows me to provide a more tailored service if required.
